There was a steady and large turnout in Warwick on Election Day on Tues., Nov. 8.
The overall winners of the general election were Donald J. Trump for President; Charles E. Schumer for U.S. Senator; three State Supreme Court Justices in the ninth Judicial District: Linda S. Jamieson, Janet C. Malone and Thomas E. Walsh; Sean Patrick Maloney as Congressman in the 18th District; John J. Bonacic as the NY State Senator in the 42nd District; Karl Brabenec for the Assembly in the 98th District; and Robert H. Freehill for County Court Judge.
The unofficial results for the Town of Warwick are as follows:
President: 7,041 voted for Trump, 5,347 for Hillary Clinton, 336 for Gary Johnson, and 214 for Jill Stein.
U.S. Senator: 6,687 voted for Charles E. Schumer, 5,512 for Wendy Long, 187 for Robin Laverne Wilson and 110 for Alex Merced.
State Supreme Court Justice Ninth Judicial District: 10,442 voted for Linda S. Jamieson, 9,182 for Janet C. Malone and 10,222 for Thomas E. Walsh.
Congress in the 18th District: 6,169 voted for Sean Patrick Maloney and 6,036 for Phil Oliva.
New York State Senator in the 42nd District: 7,515 voted for John J. Bonacic and 4,402 for Pramilla S. Malick.
In the 98th District Assembly: 8,226 voted for Karl Brabenec and 3,395 for Aron B. Wieder.
Orange County Court Judge: 7,077 voted for Robert H. Freehill and 4,650 for Steven W. Brockett.
