Warwick will welcome an estimated 30,000 visitors to Applefest on Sun., Oct. 6, held rain or shine from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. With free admission, Applefest features nearly 300 craft and food vendors, free musical entertainment on several stages, children’s carnival and activities, Farmers’ Market, apple pie baking contest, apple pie eating contest and some fifty local non-profit exhibitors.
Join the fun at an apple pie eating contest for adults and children, held at the pie baking contest booth on Bank St. at 3 p.m. Apple pie bakers should check the Applefest website for rules and entry form for the apple pie baking contest. Family-friendly children’s activities in Stanley-Deming Park will include kiddie carnival rides and games, kids’ activities and food concessions. The “Pre-Applefest Kids Karnival” is on Fri., Oct. 4 from 4 to 9 p.m.; Sat., Oct. 5 from 4 to 10 p.m.; and on Sun., Oct. 6 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. plus horse & pony rides (Sun. only) & a rabbit petting area!
Applefest 2019 T-shirts will feature a design created by Connie Hegner of Warwick, and will be sold at the “Applefest Information” Chamber of Commerce Caboose on South St. during the festival.
The Applefest 2019 Visitors’ Guide may be found on the website www.warwickapplefest.com and is distributed free at the event. The booklet contains visitor information, directories of craft and food vendors, entertainment schedule, shuttle bus information, and map of the festival area.
