The Greenwood Lake Little league opening day parade and games will take place this Sat., Apr. 27. The parade kicks off at 9 a.m. leaving from Fitzula’s on Windermere Ave. The parade will head down to Lions Field where the games will begin at 10 a.m. Grace Lutheran Church is hosting a paper shredding fundraiser from 9 a.m. to 12 noon and a soup/chili cook-off at 2 p.m.
The following weekend is yet another busy one! The Greenwood Lake Community Center will be holding its official grand opening/ribbon cutting on Sat., May 4 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. and the Center will be open all day for visitors to come see what it’s all about.
In addition, the Community Center, located at 51 Waterstone Rd., will be the meeting location for our Community Clean Sweep. We will provide bags, gloves and locations – we just need volunteers to go out and “clean the town.” We will have a BBQ at 12 noon for anyone who’d like to join us. The G.L. Elks are hosting a “Do it for Dale” Blood Drive from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
