The Village of Florida has been receiving many complaints regarding the dogs that are running around Glenmere Park unleashed. Please keep in mind that the Village has a Leash Law and Glenmere Park is part of the Village.
Recently, cameras were installed at the park, so we will be monitoring who is allowing their dogs to run free and we will be issuing fines. The Village has created a Dog Park within the park so that the dogs can run free. If you desire to walk your dog throughout the park, remember that you must pick up after it.
We have been receiving many requests to reserve the pavilions at the park so there will be more foot traffic than usual in the upcoming months.
Speaking of foot traffic, our sidewalks have been busy with the many walkers. Please make sure that if you have a sidewalk at your house, you keep it free of rocks, leaves, branches, etc. In doing this you will make the sidewalks safer and the Village looking more inviting.
The Fun Fest Committee is busy working on this year’s event. Volunteers are welcome and needed. The Committee meets on the first Wednesday of each month at the Senior Center starting at 7 p.m.
