I hope everyone made it through the frigid temperatures this past week. The snow is melting and the taste of warmer weather this week is showing us what lies ahead; spring is coming!
This time of year, many of us know that we are in pothole season. Rte. 94 through our Village, of course, has had problems for quite a while now and needs attention sooner rather than later. The DOT has come through and patched, thanks to all the calls being made about Rte. 94’s condition but sadly, many have reverted back to craters again. I will reach out to them once more and notify them to come back.
Long term, I have reached out and spoken with our state representatives and projects director of the DOT to request the road be repaved. Since it is a state road, the Village can’t do repairs to it so we are at the mercy of New York state. Funding from the state, of course, is critical for this project to happen.
I feel that all of you reading this that have to use Rte. 94 would agree that it’s a paramount project for New York to complete. Know that everything that can be done on the Village’s end to prepare for this project is being done so that when they can pave, they will be able to proceed without delay.
