I hope that everyone had a safe and happy July 4th.
The Village of Florida is very proud of our parks and is glad that they are being utilized by our residents. We have noticed that with all the activity going on at the Glenmere Lake Park, some people are not cleaning up after themselves. We ask that if you are at that park or any of the other parks, please clean up after yourselves and if you see that someone is not taking care of their refuse, please say something. The Village spends a lot of time and effort to keep our parks in good condition.
On Fri., Jul. 12 from 7 until 10 p.m. there will be a fundraiser at the Glenmere Brewery for the Florida Fun Fest to help defray the costs of the event. The cost of a ticket is $20.00 per person and it includes a free flight (or drink of choice) and appetizers. There will be live music, raffles and a tricky tray. To purchase tickets please contact Nicole Phillips at 926-6039. There are a limited number of tickets to be sold. Please patronize this event if you can.
