Bud Whitt, 81, has run his hot dog stand, Hot Dogs Plus, in Warwick just steps away from the Appalachian Trail since 1982. Bud says his hot dog lovers come from hikers & a bunch of devoted regulars. Whitt says he put up highway signs this summer, but they were vandalized for the second year in a row. A few of Whitt’s regular customers are calling on everyone to support Bud & they came on Fri., Aug. 31 – the Nam Knights, led by their leader, Bob Caridi en masse. Bob & the Nam Knights presented Bud with a check for $100 to help in any way they could. The Nam Knights said that any Military or Law Enforcement are brothers & considered family & they came in the rain on their motorcycles to show their support. God Bless them all. Hot Dogs Plus is located on Rte. 17A & is open Tues. through Sun. from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
