Orange County Executive Steven M. Neuhaus invites the community to attend the September 11th Patriot Day Ceremony which will be held on Tues., Sept. 11 at 6 p.m. at the Orange County Arboretum at Thomas Bull Memorial Park, located at 211 Rte. 416 in Montgomery, NY.
O.C. Legislator James O’Donnell will be the keynote speaker at the event. O’Donnell worked for the State Police from 1974 to 1997, retiring with the rank of Lt. Col. He went on to serve as the Chief of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority Police Department and was on duty during the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
The ceremony, which is open to the public, will honor the memory of the 44 Orange County residents who lost their lives during the 9/11 terrorist attacks and will also honor the brave military personnel who serve the nation.
