Story by Lourice Angie
To the delight of Warwick residents, the Bellvale Farms Creamery officially opened their doors on Mon., Apr. 1 for a long and busy operating season. Considered some of the finest homemade ice cream in the country, the creamery specializes in scooping out more than 50 delicious and unique ice cream flavors, plus freshly made waffle cones that can be smelled the minute one steps foot through the door.
Also available are ice cream cakes, ice cream pies and quarts of ice cream. In addition, the creamery serves several seasonal frozen yogurt, sorbet, gelato and custard flavors. New to the list of flavors is the “Jumpin ‘Jersey” named after The Jerseys (cows). This flavor contains turmeric ice cream, a touch of mint, spice, and white chocolate chunks.
The Bellvale Creamery is a family run business that has consistently produced some of the finest quality dairy products for the Hudson Valley region since 1819. Since then, they’ve had seven continuous generations of family farming. They produce enough ice cream to serve over a million people each year. It has become one of the most popular spots to visit in Warwick with its picturesque and breathtaking views of the Warwick Valley.
As a result of the busy season, specialty flavors may not always be available every day. If anyone has a particular favorite flavor they are advised to call the creamery in advance to ensure the flavor is available on the day of their visit. Orders for custom cakes require one week notice. To place an order, call 988-1818. For more information, visit www.bellvalefarms.com or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
