Town Residents may bring their discarded Christmas trees next to the mulch pile, across from the Dial-A-Bus building on Public Works Dr., Mon. through Fri. from 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Sat. and Sun. from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. until Thurs., Jan. 31.
Brenda Faulls, Receiver of Taxes, will be accepting online payments for the 2019 Orange County Town and County Real Property Tax Bills. There is a convenience fee that will be applied to this service and paid by the taxpayer to the payment processor. These fees are not included in the tax dollars paid to the collector. The fees are as follows: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover Credit Cards, 2.45% of the total tax, due at time of payment; Visa Debit Card, $3.95; ACE (E-Check) Electronic Check, $1.75.
To pay online, go to the Receiver of Taxes section of the Town website at http://www.townofwarwick.org/departments/taxes.shtml. If you have any questions, please contact the Tax Office at 986-1125, ext. 249. You can still pay in person at Warwick Town Hall, 132 Kings Hwy. in Warwick. Tax collection hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Mon. through Fri. in January and 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Mon., Wed. and Fri. during February and March.
Orange and Rockland Utilities is currently conducting tree maintenance in Warwick. Areas of concentration will be Warwick Tpke., Rte. 94, Rte. 17A, Bellvale Lakes Rd., Blooms Corners Rd., Pine Island Tpke., Kings Hwy., Belcher Rd., Wisner Rd., Cascade Rd., County Rte. 1, Union Corners Rd., East Ridge Rd., Prices Switch Rd., and associated side streets. Nelson Tree will be conducting this important work that helps ensure electric system reliability.
The next regular meeting of the Town Board will be held on Thurs., Jan. 17 at 7:30 p.m. in the Warwick Town Hall, located at 132 Kings Hwy. in Warwick.
