A sure sign of spring is the start of the baseball season. Warwick Little League kicks off the 2018 season with their annual parade, starting in front of Village Hall at 10 a.m. on Sat., Apr. 7. Come out to cheer on our young boys and girls as they celebrate America’s pastime.
You may not know, but there is a Parkinson’s disease and movement disorders support group which meets every third Thursday of the month from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the American Legion Hall, 71 Forester Ave., next to Memorial Park in Warwick. More than one million Americans suffer from Parkinson’s disease; the incidence increases with age, and men are 1.5 times more susceptible than women. Orange County has scheduled the 2018 Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event for municipalities, schools, farms & businesses. Registration is required. The event will be held at the Thomas Bull Memorial Park, 90 Grove St., Montgomery on Fri., Apr. 13.
The Household Hazardous Waste Event for residents is scheduled for Sat., Apr. 14 at the Thomas Bull Memorial Park from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The line moved quickly; please do not come before 9 a.m. and block traffic flow. No registration is required. Proof of Orange County residency is required. There is no cost to residents.

A public hearing on “Revisions of Chapter 164 Zoning” will be held on Thurs., Apr. 12 at 7 p.m. in the Warwick Town Hall.
