On Mon. May 27 we will honor those who lost their lives in defense of our Nation. Memorial Day remembrances in our Town start in the hamlet of Pine Island with a church service at 8 a.m., followed by a parade. This is followed with a parade in the Village of Warwick at 11 a.m. which will march to the Warwick Cemetery, St Stephen’s Cemetery, ending at the Fire Department monument in Veterans Memorial Park. The day ends with a parade in the Village of Florida and a service at the American Legion in the Village of Greenwood Lake, both at 2 p.m. Please take time to honor those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice by attending one of these observances.
Construction will begin on the sidewalks and the front steps at Town Hall starting on or about Mon., May 20. The first phase will be the sidewalks from the first handicap space near the front of the building around to the rear of town hall adjacent to the courts. Once completed access to Town hall will be via the rear of the building while the front steps and landing are replaced. Signs will be posted to direct you and we apologize in advance for any inconvenience however this project is long overdue and we look forward to its completion. By re-bidding this project the Town has saved over $25,000!
Orange County DPW will be doing bridge work which will close Covered Bridge Rd. by Fancher and Onderdonk Roads on or about May 13 for about 12 days. Detour signs will be posted.
A public hearing to consider adding the historic manor house at the former Mid-Orange Facility to the Community Preservation Plan will be held on Thurs., May 23 at 7:15 p.m. in the Warwick Town Hall.

The next regular meeting of the Town Board will be held on Thurs., May 23 at 7:30 p.m. in the Warwick Town Hall, located at 132 Kings Hwy. in Warwick.
