The NYS Department of Transportation has informed us that they will continue with the repaving of a section of Rte. 17A from one mile east of Old Tuxedo Rd. in the Town of Warwick to about 0.80 miles west of Long Meadow Rd. in the Town of Tuxedo. No exact time has been determined, but the Town will have two weeks advanced notice prior to construction beginning. We continue to request that all sections of Rte. 17A be repaired for the safety of all our motorists.
The Orange County Transportation Council (OCTC) is seeking public input to understand the needs and issues facing the County’s transportation system today and in the future. Work continues on the replacement of the Town Hall’s front steps. Please follow the detour signs to enter the building during construction. Thanks again for your patience.
It’s beach season again. The Warwick Town Beach, located at the end of Windermere Ave. in the Village of Greenwood Lake is now open weekends for your enjoyment. The beach, open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., is staffed by certified lifeguards and provides picnic areas, as well as restroom and shower facilities. Daily passes are available at the gate, and both resident as well as non-resident passes are available at the Town Clerk’s office in the Warwick Town Hall, Mon. through Fri. from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Starting on Sat., Jun. 29, the beach will be open seven days a week through Labor Day, Mon., Sept. 2. The next regular meeting of the Town Board will be held on Thurs., Jun. 13 at 7:30 p.m. in the Warwick Town Hall, located at 132 Kings Hwy. in Warwick.
