If something is broken, why not bring it to the Repair Café to be held on Sat., Jul. 20 at the Senior Center behind Warwick Town Hall, located at 132 Kings Hwy. in Warwick. The Repair Café will begin at 10 a.m., and the last repair will be accepted at 1:30 p.m. Limit two items per person. At the Repair Café you’ll find tools and supplies to help make repairs to wooden furniture, small appliances, electronics, & housewares, clothes & textiles, lamps & lighting, crockery, toys and more. You’ll also find “repair coaches”, such as electricians, seamstresses, mechanics, knife and tool sharpeners, and all-purpose fix-it pros with superior technical skills. Please bring a Food Pantry donation – box or can.
It’s beach season again. The Town Beach, located at the end of Windermere Avenue in the Village of Greenwood Lake is now open 7 days a week from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. It is staffed by certified lifeguards and provides picnic areas, as well as restroom and shower facilities. Daily passes are available at the gate, and both resident as well as non-resident passes are available at the Town Clerk’s office in the Warwick Town Hall, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Enjoy!
The Town’s parks are open for your summer enjoyment. There are pavilions and an event hall for rent by residents, recreational sports fields, a dog park, a beach, boating, hiking trails (including the Appalachian Trail) and incredible vistas. Music concert series are lined up in the Villages of Warwick and Greenwood Lake. Our valley is dotted with craft breweries, wineries and cideries, as well as world class restaurants. Events galore a wait in your own backyard, so get out and enjoy all our Town has to offer.
While you’re out driving around and enjoying the summertime weather, please beware of bicyclists and joggers on our country roads and be mindful of the local speed limits. Also, you will notice that NYS DOT has posted the new 45 MPH speed limit on Rte. 94 from the Village of Warwick to New Milford, so please watch your speed.
A Public Hearing to consider the adoption of Introductory Local Law No. 2 of 2019, entitled “Chapter 92: Greenwood Lake Management and Preservation” will be held on Thurs., Jul. 18 at 7:15 p.m. in the Warwick Town Hall.
The next regular meeting of the Town Board will be held on Thurs., Jul. 18 at 7:30 p.m. in the Warwick Town Hall, located at 132 Kings Hwy. in Warwick.
