The Village of Florida Board of Trustees delayed the Public Hearings for Local Laws 2, 3, and 4 of 2019 as there was not enough time between the date when the hearings were set and that on which they were to be held.
The public hearings for these local laws will now be held on Wed., June 12, at 7:30 p.m. at Village of Florida Hall. located at 33 S. Main St., in the Village of Florida.
Public Hearings to Consider Conditional Use Permits & Regulations
Local Law 2 of 2019, regarding Conditional Use permits and regulations, would repeal §119-34 (D) from the Village Code.
Local Law 3 of 2019 would allow Craft Breweries, Wineries and Distilleries to be applicable under the Conditional Use code. The local law states possible economic opportunities as its reasoning. Other villages and towns in Orange County have benefitted from similar types of businesses.
Games of Chances Licenses
Local Law 4 of 2019 would allow the Village Clerk’s office in the Town of Warwick to issue licenses for Games of Chance in the Village of Florida.
Public Hearing to Consider Repeal of Tax Levy Limit
A Public Hearing regarding Local Law 5, to consider the repeal of Local Law 1 of 2019, which allowed the Village to override the Tax Levy Limit will also be held on Wed., June 12.
The Board of Trustees will hold its end of the year meeting on Wed., May 29 at 7:30 p.m. The next regular meeting of the Village of Florida Board of Trustees will be on Wed., June 12 at 7:30 p.m.
Both meetings will be held at Village Hall, 33 South Main St., in Florida.
