NYS Senator John J. Bonacic announces that the Village of Warwick has been awarded a $75,000 grant for the installation of handicap accessible playground equipment. The grant was secured through the State and Municipal Facilities Program, funding for which was appropriated in the 2018-2019 State Budget.
“I’m pleased that the Village of Warwick has made handicap accessibility a priority,” said Senator Bonacic. “Not only will this grant ensure that everyone who wants, can enjoy the park, it will also save local taxpayers money.”
Village of Warwick Mayor Michael Newhard said, “The Village of Warwick and Warwick Playground Dreams is pleased to receive the support of a SAM Grant to make the vision of an accessible playground a reality. This project will create a play space for children of all ages and allow children with physical handicaps, visual and auditory impairments to be included. We would like to thank Senator Bonacic for his continual help towards making our Community a better place.”
