Warwick EMS Fields 115 Calls in December

  The Warwick Community Ambulance Service fielded 115 calls and worked 143 hours for the month of December. They responded to the following calls: 37 general illness; 15 falls; 14 difficulty breathing; 11 motor vehicle incidents; 10 unresponsive persons; eight cardiac related issues; five overdoses; four calls for other related issues; three injuries; and two each for seizures, AirMed transports, pain, and OBGYN.  

New Members Join Warwick EMS

        Warwick EMS gained 18 new members in 2020, had one member achieve EMT, and four members are due to complete certification in early 2021. They are expecting the delivery of a new ambulance in 2021. All of this was handled while dealing with the additional challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. EMS members have stepped up and dealt with new and unprecedented situations, handling over 1,500 calls in 2020. All these calls were handled by volunteers who provide service 24/7.
