Blue Light Safety
Please continue to watch for first responders utilizing personal vehicles responding to emergencies. Every second counts in an emergency and our first responders need your help. When you see a blue light for a firefighter or a green light for emergency medical personnel they are courtesy lights so we are asking for courtesy to safely pull off to the shoulder of the road to let them pass.
Holiday Safety Tips & Recommendations
The WFD Fire Prevention Team offers the following recommendations: check smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, have residential boilers or home heating systems including chimneys cleaned to ensure systems are in working order, have house numbers easily visible at the mailbox or on the front of the residence, do not run vehicles in or next to your garage to avoid a Carbon Monoxide Emergency, and keep up with the maintenance of all vehicles.
