The Warwick Valley Gardeners (WVG) held a ‘Garden Therapy Program’ at the Mount Alverno Center on Sat., Feb. 9. This annual Valentine’s Day flower arranging activity allowed 24 of the senior residents to learn flower arranging, creating beautiful flower arrangements that they could keep or give as a gift. Following the activity, the group enjoyed a time of singing, led by Mary Pohlman. The ‘Garden Therapy Program’ is a state and national award winning program that provides six sessions at Mount Alverno each year and also does a spring outreach to people receiving Meals on Wheels. The club also funds & maintains nine gardens throughout the Village and Town. For more information, visit www.warwickvalleygardeners.org.
