The Albert Wisner Public Library, located at 1 McFarland Dr. in Warwick NY, will hold its annual election on Tues., Apr. 10 at the Library. The Library’s operating levy and election of one trustee is on the ballot.
The polls will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Residents of the Warwick Valley Central School District (WVCSD) who are registered to vote may participate in this election. Voter registration is held at the Warwick Valley Central School District (WVCSD) office, located at 225 West St. in Warwick. Voting by absentee ballot can be requested at the library at least seven days before the election date if the ballot is to be mailed and one day before the election if the ballot is to be picked up by the voter.
A public hearing will be held on Tues., Mar. 27 at 7 p.m. at the Library. The proposed FY2018/2019 Operating Budget can be found on the Library website at www.albertwisnerlibrary.org.
There is also an election for one Library trustee. The incumbent candidate, Regina Wittosch, is running for re-election. Library trustees are elected to serve a five-year term of office. Persons wishing to stand for election as a trustee must return a petition with at least 25 signatures of residents of the WVCSD to the library no later than 5 p.m. on Fri., Mar. 9. Petitions are available on the Library website at www.albertwisnerlibrary.org.
