The Warwick Valley Community Center (WVCC), located at 11 Hamilton Ave. in Warwick, will host the seventh annual OCNY Pride event and parade on Sun., Jun. 9 from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The parade will take place at 1:30 p.m. Spend a prideful, family-friendly day at the WVCC, complete with brunch, a parade, live entertainment, and more.
The OCNY Pride event, celebrating the LGBTQ community, starts at 11:30 a.m. at the Community Center as participants gather to decorate floats, make signs, noisemakers, and body art for the parade while enjoying a free rainbow bagel brunch and music by DJ Skyhook. LGBTQ advocacy groups will be on-hand to chat, and there will be a selection of vendors to browse.
At 1:15 p.m., there will be speakers and parade line up. The parade will step-off at 1:30 p.m. and proceed towards Railroad Green, through the village along Main St., returning to the WVCC at 2:30 p.m. for the Pride Show, Acting Out Playhouse, the OCNY Pride Drag Show, and Luminous and Emma.
