This year will mark the 17th annual Warwick Summer Arts Festival (WSAF) in Warwick, which has become a growing haven for artistic and cultural exhibits, performances, workshops and master classes, The WSAF will be held from Wed., Jul. 26 to Sat., Aug. 5. The co-directors of this years festival are Melissa Padham-Maass and Marcela Bumpus.
The WSAF celebration will kick off fundraising efforts on Fri., Apr. 21 from 6 to 9 p.m. with the Shoe Last Project, which embraces and promotes the creative multi-media efforts of local artists. Participating artists will auction off their transformed sculpture and installations at the evening fundraiser, which will be held at Pennings Farm Cidery, located at 4 Warwick Tpke. in Warwick. Tickets are $25 per person.
Bowl to the Beat will be held on Sat., May 6 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Pin Street Bowl, located at 154 Rte. 94 S. in Warwick. The cost is $20 and entitles the guest to free shoes and the opportunity to bowl “all you can.” There will be plenty of family activities including henna tattoos, raffles, Lucky Lockers and the evenings featured activity, the Battle of the Bands.
