Warwick High School is proud to recognize senior Eric Ormsby as this week’s Bill Garcia Allstate Student-Athlete of the Week.
The senior lacrosse captain and midfielder recently scored 11 goals, including five against Valley Central, to pace the Wildcats to wins over Valley Central, Highland and Newburgh in boys’ lacrosse. Eric is a four-year member of the boys’ varsity lacrosse team (all Division as a junior), was a standout soccer player in the fall, and kicked for the football team on Friday Nights (Warwick’s Kick–off Weapon).
Eric is an outstanding student–athlete with a weighted grade point average of 92.8. His course load includes Advanced Placement courses for college credit in Biology and Calculus. Eric is an active member of the Sports Medicine Club. He is recognized as a scholar–athlete in lacrosse, soccer and football by the NYSPHSAA.
Eric maintains an average of 90 or better in season for all four years of High School. Eric plans to attend Wilkes University of Pennsylvania where he will study mechanical engineering and play lacrosse for the Colonels of the MAC Freedom Conference.
Eric is the son of Kim and Stephen Ormsby, of Warwick NY. His brother, Sean, and his sister, Emily, are both alumni and standout student- athletes of Warwick Valley High School.
