Warwick High School is proud to recognize senior Bridget Higgins as this week’s Bill Garcia Allstate Student-Athlete of the Week.
The senior multi-sport standout in cross country and indoor track plays midfield and defense for the girls’ lacrosse team, which is 6-1. The Lady Wildcats rallied from a 10–4 deficit to defeat Monroe-Woodbury at home this weekend. Bridget is one of many talented returning players from last year’s Section 9 championship team, receiving First Team All County Honors as a defender.
Bridget is an outstanding student–athlete with a weighted grade point average of 94.21. Her class load includes advanced placement courses for college credit in Government, Literature and University Spanish. Bridget is an active member of Model UN and was named a scholar–athlete by the NYSPHSAA for maintaining an average of 90 or better in season.
Bridget plans to attend Siena College next year and is undecided about her major.
Bridget is the daughter of Donald and Erin Higgins, of Chester, NY. Her brother, Joe, and her sister, Siobhan, are both Warwick High School alumni and her sister, Caitlyn, is a sophomore at Warwick H.S. in Warwick NY.
