WFD Asks Residents to Have Chimneys Checked

Local News News & Updates

The Warwick Fire Department would like to thank The Warwick Volunteer Ambulance Service, The Warwick Police Department and the Florida Fire Department for assisting our Department over the past week. As always these agencies step up at a moment’s notice to assist and protect our community always without hesitation. We are lucky to have them and our neighboring agencies as well.  We could not do this job without them and especially our very own Warwick Firefighters.

On Mon., Jan. 27, WFD Companies held weekly apparatus and building checks.

On Tues., Jan. 28, WFD held its monthly Department Officers & Department Executive Board Meetings.

On Thurs., Jan. 30, the WFD Firefighter Assist Search Team (FAST) and Rope Team held its monthly regularly scheduled drills at Warwick Station 1.

Members have begun annual Department Physicals. Thanks to the Department Safety Officers who ensure the safety of Warwick firefighters on and off the fire ground.

On Sat., Feb. 1, the WFD responded to a reported chimney fire off of Cascade Road.  Please remember to have your chimney serviced to working order. Also, please have driveways clearly marked with your street number and allow access for emergency vehicles to safely make it to your home in the event of an emergency.
