Mayor Dwyer: GWL Village Practicing Safe Distancing

Local News News & Updates

The constant news cycle is likely keeping most people informed of what is happening both regionally and nationally. At the local level, we are continuing our efforts to reduce our municipal workforce to only essential employees and ensuring employees are working at a distance from one another.

Village Hall remains closed to the public but there is a drop box in the police dispatch office for any bills, plans, or letters that need to be submitted. We have closed our playgrounds and basketball courts in an effort to force social distancing. The Village Board has extended the water bill deadline to May 15.

Many of our local businesses are deemed essential and remain open to provide many of your needs – please be sure to patronize them as safely as possible.

On behalf of the Village Board, I want to thank our local first responders, nurses, hospital staff and those who are working to provide our essential services so we may feel safe in our communities. Stay safe and God bless!
