Mayor Harter: COVID-19 Precautions, Community Assistance

Local News News & Updates

    Hello Florida,

We are sorry about closing Glenmere Park, but with the continuing positive cases of COVID-19 in Orange County and how busy and full the park has become recently, with not just our residents but people coming from all over the county, and even from New Jersey, it defeats the purpose of trying to promote social distancing among the public by keeping the park open at this time. We must all be willing to do our part to control the spread of COVID-19. Thank you for your cooperation.

With the ongoing financial burdens coming for so many in our area due to the pandemic, many are looking for ways to help those who are less fortunate. The Florida Food Pantry is looking for donations of both food and financial to continue helping our local residents. Volunteers would also be helpful to alleviate the stretched thin crew. To donate or volunteer, call 651-4117 or message them on their Facebook page, Florida Community Food Pantry.

With daily updates and changes with this developing pandemic Orange County has posted these numbers to assist our area with various problems associated with Covid-19.

      Helpful Phone Numbers:

NYS CoVID-19 Hotline: 1-888-364-3065; Orange County Department of Health: 291-2330; Seniors Food Assistance: 615-3700; Child Care Council: 294-4012; Business Financial Relief Assistance: 802-9150; and Consumer Affairs Complaint: 360-6700.

And finally, with everyone staying home for the next few weeks, please take a moment to complete your census! Everyone stay separated and healthy! We will get through this, together.
