  The Warwick Fire Department (WFD) has responded to 279 calls for service to date. 

Fire safety begins will all of us. Many home fires are preventable. Always remember to keep the community Warwick Fire Safe. The WFD Fire Prevention Team is “Preventing Fires Through Education.” 

  Learning fire prevention is easy and right from your smart phone and tablets. Visit www.sparkyschoolhouse.org and teach your children fire safety tips to keep them Warwick Fire Safe. 

  The Warwick Fire Department hopes that all children, employees, teachers and the administrators of the Warwick Valley Central School District had a happy and healthy first week of school.

  Please remember to be patient and allow extra time to travel on our roadways through the Village and the Town during downtown dining and apple picking at our beautiful orchards. Use caution and drive the speed limit!  Arrive Alive & Be Warwick Fire Safe!

Weekly Training

During the week, all companies completed apparatus and buildings checks to ensure their fleet is operational for all future emergencies.

  On Thurs., Sept. 10, the Warwick Fire Departments Extrications Team completed a Bus Extrications Drill at the Orange County Fire Training Center in New Hampton, NY with Instruction from the OCFTC Instructors on use of the WFD Grip Hoist System, which is utilized during vehicle extrication. Firefighters were instructed on how to remove a vehicle that had rear ended a school bus and how to safely remove the vehicle and its occupants from under the school vehicle.  Thank you to the OCFTC Staff and to Spechts Garage.  

  On Fri., Sept. 11, the Warwick Fire Department attended the Annual Sept. 11 Memorial Services in Veterans Memorial Park for the Victims of 9/11.  We will never forget!

Join the Fire Department

  For those who are 16 years of age or older who want to give back to the community, join the Warwick Fire Department.
