Supervisor Sweeton: Thank You DPW

Local News News & Updates

For Town information log on to www.townofwarwick.org  or tune to Cablevision Municipal Channel 21.

Our Orange County government has set up a link: https://vaccination.orangecountygov.com to help those 65 and older get registered and in line for a vaccine.  It will allow you to get updates on the distribution process.  If you are a senior you can also call the Orange County Office for the Aging at 615-3700, leave your information and someone will call you back. The vaccine roll out has been uneven, frustrating and in many cases impossible for those most vulnerable – our seniors. Hopefully with supplies increasing and help like the site above will begin to make the process easier.  Check the town website at www.townofwarwick.org in the facebook section of the homepage for updates.

I wanted to publicly thank DPW’s across our County but especially our own Warwick DPW for the amazing job they did during the blizzard of ’21.  They worked long hours over three days to keep the roads open for essential workers, EMS, fire and police to ensure they had the ability to keep us safe throughout the storm.  I also want to thank residents who heeded the warnings and avoided unnecessary travel. As the largest town in Orange County with the most road miles our crews did a great job in this very challenging storm. Well done!

The lobby of Town Hall remains open during the recent uptick in Covid 19 cases across our County with drop boxes to leave forms, water and sewer payments, Building Department applications, etc.  Phone numbers/emails are posted so we can provide services during this disruption.  Arrangements will be made via phone or email for each department to attend to your critical needs throughout this limited access period.
