Small Things Inc. has introduced its “Happy Tummies” program.  With monies received through donations and fundraising efforts, the nonprofit will purchase meals from local family-owned restaurants.  The meals will be shared with the community via local food pantries.

“Small Things Inc. was formed for our neighbors, to raise and distribute funds to benefit our community – and our ‘Happy Tummies’ program is truly community-supported giving in action,” said Tracy Gregoire, Founder.  “We’re able to share kindness with our neighbors through our food pantries, as well as support our local small businesses which help sustain our community.”

Small Things provided its first donation to the Florida Community Food Pantry on Wed., Mar. 10.  Donations were also made to the Warwick Ecumenical Food Pantry and the Greenwood Lake Food Pantry later in the week.  The meal offered a variety of options including chicken parmigiana and penne with vodka sauce provided by Luca Trattoria and Pizzeria in Warwick; and chicken noodle and butternut squash soups from Eddie’s Roadhouse in Warwick.  Salad, bread and desserts were also provided.

The inaugural meals donation was made in honor of Chief Warrant 2 Daniel Prial with memorial funds donated to Small Things Inc. in his name.  The meal was chosen with care and included many of his favorite dishes.

“We’re deeply grateful that the Prial Family chose Small Things as the recipient of Danny’s memorial donations,” said Gregoire.  “Danny had a true love for his hometown of Warwick and a passion for supporting local businesses.  We like to think that he would really love our ‘Happy Tummies’ program, and we’re honored to gift our first meals to the community in Danny’s name.”

Small Things Inc. is a tax-approved 501(c)(3) charity formed in Warwick in April 2020.  To learn more visit www.smallthingsinc.org, Facebook and Instagram.
