The Warwick Fire Department (WFD) has responded to 124 calls for service to date. They had a busy week including mutual aid response to the Greenwood Lake Fire District for two homes on fire and a large brush fire.

In addition, Cub Scout Pack #177 visited the WFD Fire Prevention Team which instructed the Scouts on fire safety and what it means to volunteer. Also, during the week, the WFD completed vehicle apparatus truck checks and fleet maintenance as well as held their monthly scheduled district meeting and an Operations Drill.

As part of the 12th Annual Firemen’s Association of the State of New York Recruitment Drive, the WFD hosted an open house. The WFD joined other Volunteer Fire Departments throughout the State at their respective firehouses either in-person or virtually for a unified recruitment drive. RecruitNY is an opportunity to highlight the rewards and responsibilities that come with being a volunteer firefighter.
