Exciting Programs at the Greenwood Lake Library

The Greenwood Lake Public Library, located at 79 Waterstone Rd. in Greenwood Lake, is offering the several programs in May. In-person programs are subject to change as required by health restrictions.  Registered patrons will be notified of any changes and information will be posted on the Library’s Facebook and Instagram pages.

For Adults: Chair Yoga with Sara classes are held via Zoom on Mondays from 11a.m. to 12 noon. 

The Art of Drawing with Mark McKenna will be held on Sat., May 1 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. in-person.  Mark, a talented DC and Marvel Comics artist, will demonstrate the steps in the creative process and developing a final product.  Registration is limited. 

Adult 3D Printing Workshop will be held in-person on Thursdays, May 6, 13, 20 and 27 from 6 to 7 p.m.  Victor Pignataro will offer this amazing workshop in four sessions to learn how to design and print a three-dimensional creation. Enrollment is limited.

    For Children & Young Adults: Special Drumming Celebrations will take place in-person on Sat., May 8 from 11a.m. to 12 noon for ages four to nine and from1 to 2 p.m. for ages10 and up.  Robert Friedman will instruct and entertain the young people with rhythm-based games and exercises. Registration is limited. 

  For All Ages: On Sat., May 22, Meteorologist Joe Rao from Channel 12 News will discuss the upcoming solar eclipse and describe what to expect and how to best view this unusual celestial event. Registration is limited. (Time of the event to be announced)

   Special Programs for Young Children: The ever-popular Virtual Story Time with Ms. Kristin will continue to stream via the link on the Library’s website.  Registered children receive story-related craft packets. 

May Art Exhibit: Photography by Allyson Jones will be on exhibit in May. Ally has captured the beauty and thrill of the outdoors in her images. She is an avid hiker, back-packer and nature lover.  Her sense of adventure and awe are captured in her amazing photographs.
