I attended the unveiling of a well-deserved plaque in honor of Michael Sweeton and the words etched in the plaque say it all so I transcribed it here for all to read and please stop by Town hall to see it in person.  Michael P. Sweeton Town of Warwick Supervisor  Dedicated years of Service from 2002-2023

Michael Sweeton was elected to public office as the Town of Warwick Superin 2002. For Sweeton, it was not just a job but a way of life. During his 22 years of service Sweeton made changes and tough decisions. His compassion to listen to the needs of others and the confidence to stand alone, defined him. Commitment to excellence and professional integrity was a differentiating factor that helped set the Town of Warwick apart. Sweeton’s creativity and innovative thinking made him a role model. His continued support of the Purchase of Development Rights preserved over 5,000 acres of farmland and open space.

This plaque is a symbol of appreciation to Michael for all his years of service, loyalty and dedication to the Town of Warwick.
