Assemblyman Karl Brabenec Statement on New York State Budget

Politics

A Statement from Assemblyman Karl Brabenec (R,C-Deerpark)

“This budget is an outrageous failure of leadership, and that’s why I voted no on every bill. At a quarter of a trillion dollars and five weeks late, it’s the largest and most bloated budget in New York state history. It’s packed with wasteful spending and does almost nothing to help the hardworking New Yorkers footing the bill.

We are already burdened with some of the highest taxes in the nation, and this budget offers no real relief—only more reasons for families and businesses to leave. We need fiscal responsibility, not runaway spending. New York deserves better.”

Assemblyman Brabenec represents the 98th District, which includes the city of Port Jervis, the towns of Deerpark, Greenville, Mount Hope, Wawayanda, Minisink, Warwick, Tuxedo and portions of the towns of Monroe and Ramapo. For more information, please visit his Official Website.
