Among the growing number of vendors that will be exhibiting at the Lakeside Farmers Market beginning on Saturday, May 31, will be Grow Local Greenwood Lake, who will be introducing its new Gardens on the Go, program that makes growing your own food easy, fast, and affordable.

In just a few hours, Grow Local’s team can create a thriving Victory Garden right outside your kitchen door — ready for you to enjoy as your plants grow and produce beautiful greenery and food!  Here’s how it works:

  • Contact GLGWL Gardens on the Go at growlocalgwl@gmail.com
  • Arrange a visit for a quick consultation and help you choose the best setup for your space.
  • Select your raised beds — durable, attractive stainless-steel options in a variety of colors and sizes.
  • The Grow Local team handles installation, landscaping, and fills the beds with rich, healthy soil.
  • Customer picks one of our planting plans, and we will set it up for you — no guessing, no extra fees.

But Grow Local Greenwood Lake remains active throughout the growing season. In follow-up visits they make sure your garden gets off to a strong start. They even teach you how to care for your new garden with simple, clear guidance, with optional Maintenance Plans available, in case you need extra assistance.

Founder, Chad Pilieri, stated that “Grow Local Greenwood Lake offers a variety of programs for the community. Sharing our love of the earth and growing our own food is a gift we can give to the next generation. The local Scouts and school groups have joined us for Planting Workshops, Sweet Potato Digs, and a Spiral Herb Garden planting. We’ve instituted Food Scraps Collection at the Farmers Market, Composting at the Community Garden, and Crop Sharing between fellow gardeners.”

Grow Local’s mission is to build a thriving, regenerative, resilient local food system that strengthens Greenwood Lake and our surrounding communities — one garden at a time. They design and build beautiful gardens that feed people, support native wildlife, and transform ordinary spaces into something extraordinary. Through hands-on collaboration, they help you grow with confidence and joy. GLGWL Gardens on the Go charges for supplies, taxes, shipping, labor and 20% mark up (tax deductible) that goes towards GLGWL and our mission.
