Did you know, that on a cool and sunny Sunday afternoon I had the distinct pleasure of officiating at the Wedding of Taz and Annie? Yes, they are now a married couple of dogs.
The lovely event took place in the garden of The Last Whisky Bar turned into a donated wedding venue.

A beautiful bouquet of orange flowers and the bride’s rose covered collar were graciously donated by Flowers by Lisa. Plate and Graze Catering contributed a one of a kind custom bone shaped creative and delicious vegetarian charcuterie. ShopRite of Warwick prepared the picture perfect wedding cake and volunteers provided other tasty treats. The orange theme of food and attire was in recognition of April is Prevention of Animal Cruelty Month.
A flower decorated arch served as the ceremonial location for the two to exchange their vows.
For those unable to attend, the wedding party entered to the processional song Better Together. First, Taz the groom in his mini Tuxedo, followed by his best dog-man, Sully wearing an orange ascot. Macy, the maid of honor wore a bright orange clingy dress with a flouncy skirt and flower girl, Tiana preceded the bride, Annie, in her white satin dress and veil.
“Dear human & canine friends,
We are gathered here today to witness the marriage of Annie & Taz who have waited a long time to make their union legal. Their lives prior to their rescue in September 2025, have not been easy or comfortable.
Annie & Taz, along with their attendants, Sully & Macy, were subjected to living in unhealthy and unsanitary conditions. Yet, despite this hardship, their love for each other never diminished, but grew stronger.
Strong enough to make their living in a shelter bearable for seven months and counting.

Today we honor and celebrate their love and commence with the ceremony.
Annie & Taz

Today Annie & Taz, you both enter A WHOLE NEW WORLD (song) as soon to be married dogs!
Annie, my Min-Pin Princess, you are the love of my life

And from this moment forward you will become my long awaited wife
For over seven years we have lived in chaos together
Among the new, the old, the unexpected, the whatever
I am so happy today begins our happily ever after.
Taz, my mini-man Chihuahua, seven years ago you entered the house
As a puppy I knew you would one day be my spouse
We have weathered tumult and turmoil, confusion and uncertainty
Yet with you by my side, we’ve lived life contentedly
Together forever, we shall embrace life exuberantly
Now, by the powers vested in me, I pronounce you MARRIED!” A photo op followed to the recessional song You Make Dream Come True. Their Happily Ever After will happen when the couple finds their forever family.
Our thanks to all who donated to and attended this special fundraising event for our organization!
