Hello Florida, Winter has come to our area once again! As we are cleaning up from the storm, I’d like to remind everyone that our snow ordinance is in effect this time of year. Please do not park on village streets between the hours of 1 a.m. through 6 a.m. The purpose of the ordinance is to allow the DPW the ability to clean the streets more efficiently.
The holiday season is upon us and everyone will be shopping for gifts for loved ones. Small business Saturday was this past weekend and I think instead of making it just one day we should instead make this the small business shopping season! Sixty-seven cents of every dollar spent on a local business stays in the community, shopping local makes a difference.
This Fri., Dec. 6 is our annual tree lighting ceremony and visit from Santa. The festivities begin at 4 p.m. at Village Hall, located at 33 South Main St., and I hope to see you all there!
