   The Warwick Fire Department (WFD) has responded to 367 calls for service to date. During the week, the WFD completed weekly apparatus and building checks. On Tues., Dec. 1, the WFD held regularly scheduled monthly meetings and annual company elections. 

   Congratulations to the newly elected Civil and Line Officers.  Thank you to the those who have served in the Civil and Line positions over the past year during the pandemic especially our firefighters who continue to protect our community. 

  On Wed., Dec. 2, the Warwick Fire Police held their monthly meeting and annual election.  Congratulations to our Fire Police Officers and members who protect our firefighters and secure our roadways at the scenes of all incidents assisting the Town of Warwick Police Department. 

On Thurs., Dec. 3, the WFD held their annual Election of Officers for the Fire Department Executive Board. They are: Daniel Schweikart, Chief; Michael Contaxis, 1st Asst. Chief; Andrew Lemin, 2nd Ass.t Chief; Melissa Stevens, President; Robb Pavlick, Vice President; 

Deborah Schweikart, Secretary; and Bill Lindberg, Treasurer. 

On Fri., Dec. 4 and Sat., Dec. 5, the WFD held a new members class for several of our new firefighters. The class on Dec. 4 was a PowerPoint presentation to familiarize the firefighters with the command, operational structure and mandated department procedures.  On Dec. 5, firefighters learned about hose stretching to ladder operations.  We welcome our new firefighters and commend them for their continued hard work.

Join the Fire Department

  For those who are 16 years of age or older who want to give back to the community, join the Warwick Fire Department.
