G.L. Library Prepares for Summer Reading Program

The Greenwood Lake Public Library is gearing up for the Summer Reading Program. Tails & Tales is the theme for this year’s summer reading program. In addition to reading themed books there will be amazing programs for children and young adults in July specially geared to the theme. To register for the programs, visit www.gwllibrary.org or call 477-8377.  Priority for programs will be given to Greenwood Lake residents. 

  The programs are as follows: 

Programs for Kids Ages 2-9

July 6 – Up in Arms presents “Welcome Park” at 11 a.m.

July 8 & 9 – Read to Sienna the Therapy Dog, 10 to 11 a.m.

July 10 – The Baking Coach (virtual) 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

July 13 – Traditions of Chinese Acrobatics with Li Liu from 1 to 1:45 p.m.

July 20 – Kathy Pacos Reptile Cookies, 11-11:45 a.m.

July 21 – Animal Embassy with live reptile show at 4 p.m.

July 25 to 31 – Dan Fogel is Back with Animal Themed Piano Program (virtual).

Programs for Young Adults Ages 10 to 18

July 6 – Learn How to Draw Cartoon Animals with Rick Stromoski (virtual) from 6 to 7 p.m.

July 10 – The Baking Coach (virtual).

July 13 – Traditions of Chinese Acrobatics with Li Liu from 1 to 1:45 pm

       July 14, 21, & 28 – Hybrid Animal Theatre Workshop presented by Rising City Arts.

July 20 – Kathy Pacos Reptile Cookies, 12 to 12:45 p.m.

July 21 – Animal Embassy with live reptile show at 4 p.m.

Programs for Adults on Thursdays

July 8 – All About Seeds, 6:30 to 8 p.m.

July 15 – Bark-Sized Treats for Dogs, 7 to 8 p.m.

July 22 – The Borscht Belt. 7 to 8 p.m.

July 29 – BFFs:  Man & Dog in the Classical World, 7 to 8:30 p.m.
