The Success Map Initiative is a short-term program aimed at equipping incarcerated individuals with the tools, knowledge, and mindset necessary to take control of their lives and build a brighter future.
Founded by Trent Griffin-Braaf, the initiative features a four-week “Hustle for Freedom Business Bootcamp,” which focuses on preparing participants for success. This bootcamp educates individuals on how to create a business plan, develop financial literacy, enhance leadership skills, adopt a more positive mindset, and re-enter the workforce with the abilities needed to thrive. Graduates of the program become eligible to earn three SUNY college credits, receive a $1,000 scholarship for personalized business coaching, and gain access to resources from the New York State Small Business Development Center.
So far, eight participants have completed the four-week program and received certificates of completion, with a second session currently in progress, enrolling another eight participants.
The Orange County Correctional Facility is committed to continuing programs that promote personal growth, education, and successful reentry opportunities for incarcerated individuals.
