Mayor Dwyer: Summer Schedule

News & Updates

2020 Paving Plan

This year’s paving will take place either the last week of July or the first week of August. The roads to be paved will be Myrtle Ave., Church St., Maple St., Laurel Ave., Grove St. and Windermere Ave. between Maple/Wright and Lauren/Murray. Notices will be clearly posted the day before paving begins. Vehicles parked on the streets to be paved after 4 a.m. on the day paving is to be done will be towed at the owner’s expense. Please plan ahead.

Next year, we plan on paving the area north of 17A (behind GWL Ice Cream Shack). The following year we hope to pave Lakelands. The paving we have been doing for the past four years has been real asphalt and is more expensive than the old method of “tar and chipping” roads. The new strategy has a much longer life and sees far less cracks and potholes. It is easier on plowing equipment and roads thaw much more quickly. However, the price restricts us to paving fewer roads per year. Within five years, we are confident that just about every road in Greenwood Lake will have been fully paved.
